Philadelphia Semi-Finals
YAGP would like to express its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the parents, teachers, and participants at the YAGP 2008 semi-finals in Philadelphia, PA for their understanding and flexibility in adjusting to the schedule changes due to the weather-related power outage at the Swarthmore College auditorium.
We at YAGP believe that the education of a dancer is not confined to the walls of a studio or a classroom. In order to have a successful career as a professional dancer, young students must learn to navigate a complex life of an artist – both emotionally and physically – and we would like to commend the young artists at the YAGP 2008 Philadelphia semi-finals for showing such high level of professionalism and enthusiasm in adjusting to the schedule changes in this Force-Majeure situation.
It is our pleasure to announce the winners of the YAGP 2008 Philadelphia Semi-Finals on this page. The winners’ plaques and Grishko gift certificates will be mailed to them shortly (please contact the YAGP office at regional@yagp.org to inquire about the status of your plaque/certificate mailing).
