YAGP Galas
2009 Tokyo Gala
The final stop in YAGP's 2009 international tour was Japan, where, in additional to a customary semi-final in Osaka, YAGP held the first YAGP Gala in Tokyo. The Gala featured the participants of the YAGP Japan competition alongside NYCB's Ashley Bouder and Gonzalo Garcia; The Royal Ballet's Alina Cojocaru and YAGP Alumnus, Sergei Polunin; YAGP's very own Gennadi Saveliev, Stuttgart Ballet's Jason Reilly and Hana Sakae; K-Ballet's YAGP alumnus, Kenta Shimizu, and other YAGP alumni currently performing around the world and studying on scholarship at dance schools worldwide. The Gala is scheduled to be televised nationwide in Japan by Theater Television - Japan's leading educational TV channel.
